Search & Rescue (SAR)
Serving since 1967, Churchill County Search and Rescue is an independent, non-governmental, and non-profit corporation comprised of volunteers who respond to a variety of situations within and outside of Churchill County. These volunteers donate their time to countless hours of training. In addition to their Search and Rescue commitments, they are a significant asset to our community at special events such as Halloween night, bicycle races, most large-scale local events, as well as safety stand-by at Lahontan Reservoir on holidays. Search and Rescue operates under the umbrella of the Sheriff's Office.
