The Churchill County District Attorney Child Support Division is here to help you with child support issues. The Mission of the Child Support Division is to ensure financial and medical support for children through an aggressive approach in the location of the obligor, enforcement of Child Support Orders, and establishment of paternity.

Services Provided

The Churchill County District Attorney Child Support Division provides the following services:

  • Enforcing child, family, and medical support orders
  • Establishing child and medical support orders
  • Establishing paternity (legal fatherhood) for children born out of wedlock
  • Locating parents who are absent from the home
  • Modifying existing child support orders
  • Customer Service Portal
  • Employer Portal

While our office is relatively small compared to other county child support offices in Nevada, our hard-working staff is experienced at gaining cooperation from parents to meet their court-ordered obligations. In 2021, the Churchill County District Attorney, Child Support Division collected over 2 million dollars for the children of Churchill County. We encourage commitment from both parents to do what is best for their children, and are here to help with the struggles and financial challenges of raising them.

Attention: Custodians Receiving IV-D Child Support

The Child Support Enforcement Program charges and collects from the custodial parent, a $35 annual fee for each case where the State has collected and disbursed more than $550. These are cases where the custodial parent has never received Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
