As the Churchill County Assessor’s Office begins reappraisal season, residents may see property appraisers visiting parcels, taking pictures and/or measurements, and driving around neighborhoods to follow up on building permits.
If they visit your parcel for more than picture taking purposes, they will leave a yellow door hanger disclosing their visit and what information they seek. Although they try not to bother residents, sometimes it is necessary to knock on doors and speak to property owners directly. Please do not be alarmed.
This is part of the county's annual effort to assess property values for taxation purposes. This year, assessors will be focusing on property within Fallon city limits.
